Good site. I rode from Minot to North Platte returning from a cross country trip in August. 83 is a great motorcycle route.

Was thrilled to find this site! What a wonderful job you have done with this. Did you do all the html etc. yourself or hire it out? I am developing nebraskahighway2.com and it is a long slow process... I hope to hire someone to help develop the site -- there is so much to do! But I do work fulltime for someone else but hope to be doing the site fulltime some day. What camera did you use for your shots? i would like to email with you if you don't mind.

In the 70's there was a sign outside of Virden, Manitoba that said "Highway 83, from Palms to Pines". I remember wanting to travel south to see those palm trees so badly!

Stew, Great pages. Thanks for including a link to our Texas Welcome Home Run motorcycle event. Sure hope you'll join us in 2013! You have done a great job showing the history of Hwy 83. By the way, the old bridge between Wellington and Shamrock is almost gone. It is a real shame. It was a beautiful old structure.
